The short version
Legazpi Village is the companion to Salcedo’s more residential feeling, with a denser mix of offices, restaurants, towers and park space around the Greenbelt side of Makati. It is one of the metropolis’s strongest addresses for people who want an urban routine that does not require a car for every small errand.
Legazpi Active Park and the Greenbelt complex are the obvious anchors, but the better question is what happens between them and the building. Some streets are pleasant and shaded; the main roads are busy, noisy and difficult to cross. A unit can be near a park and still face a hard commute to the pavement.
Getting around
Ayala and Buendia on MRT 3 provide the rail connection. The route from station to home is part of the decision, especially in hot weather or rain. Taxis, buses and jeepneys extend the network, but the metropolis remains road dependent beyond the immediate Makati core.
Who fits here
Legazpi suits a newcomer who values restaurants, offices and services close together, and who does not need a large landed home. Families can make it work when school and work are nearby. Those seeking a quiet village or a cheap, spacious house are looking in the wrong direction.
My verdict
I would shortlist it before BGC if I wanted a more established city texture. The trade is older buildings and more variable street conditions. Visit at breakfast, evening and after rain; the differences between blocks are the useful information.
