The short version
Phung Khoang is a south western university and apartment quarter where village lanes survive between dense new housing and the Line 2A corridor. It suits students and west side households who want local food and a newer flat without paying for a managed compound. The access roads can be crowded and the neighbourhood is not uniformly finished.
The village lanes are the area’s most useful counterweight to the towers. They bring small shops and daily life close, while the newer blocks offer lifts and services. Walk the route between them and the metro, then check drainage and motorbike parking. The best addresses combine both; the worst are isolated behind a wide road.
I would live here for a university based routine or a west side job. It is practical, dense and more local than the tower brochures imply.
