Between beach and mountain
Man Thai is one of Da Nang’s more distinctive residential choices because the coast and Son Tra’s rising ground are both part of its immediate setting. It is not simply another beach strip. Fishing and local housing remain important to the area’s character, while the seafront and the roads towards the peninsula bring visitors, hotels and through traffic.
The decision is about which side of the road you want. Beach facing streets feel more open and visitor oriented. The inland lanes are more local and can be a better fit for ordinary living, though you should check parking, access and drainage at the exact address. Son Tra access is useful for leisure and awkward if your daily commute runs in the opposite direction.
The map has no rent or expat figure for Man Thai. Do not convert a hotel listing into a residential market claim. This area suits a couple or independent adult who wants sea air and local texture, and can tolerate a less predictable mix of fishing activity, redevelopment and tourism. Families can make it work if school and work are nearby. I would look inland from the beach road and choose the lane before the view.
