The short version
Tay Mo is a westward expansion zone where apartment estates sit beside village settlements and open edges. It is a housing decision before it is a neighbourhood decision. The newer projects can be comfortable inside, while the surrounding streets remain in transition.
Look at the route beyond the gate. Shops may be close on the map but separated by wide roads or building land. A motorbike helps, and families should check the school run in person. Ask what the next plot is for, how deliveries work and whether the building has a reliable way out after rain.
Tay Mo makes sense for a west side life and a newer home. I would not choose it for a pedestrian routine centred on the old city.
